After gracing the covers of several magazines with his last
vehicle ( a bagged '95 Civic), Steve Miller of Yorba Linda, California decided
to try something different this time around. He bought a 2000 Full Size Chevy
Truck.
The first time I saw this truck was at the local cruise spot on
a Sunday night where everyone goes after their club meetings. I thought to
myself "is that thing real". Steve was showing everyone the Hydraulics
and as I pulled up he had the front end hopping in the air.
This was the first complete show truck I had seen in the 2000
Chevy model. It was hard to believe that a truck that size was leaving the
ground so easily and not falling apart! Upon further examination, I saw that the
truck was fully painted with wild graphics and body dropped. I knew that this
was the type of truck I wanted for my first feature.
Steve's suspension and 3" body drop are the work of Master
Image Customs ( known worldwide for their amazing trucks). The truck also
features shaved door handles, gas door, taillights, roll pan, and painted
interior by Anaheim Prestige Auto Body. To fill up the fender wells, Intro
wheels created the Champion wheel in a 20 x 8 and they were wrapped in
255/35/ZR20 rubber made by Falken tires. Stereo mods by Advantage Audio include:
a Pioneer head unit with flip up TV screen, three 4-channel amps, 4
subwoofers in a dual chamber enclosure behind the seats and into the bed,
and a Jensen VCR. Graphics were sprayed by Steve Vandemon using a long list of
colors. His truck also has many accessories from APC including: a phantom grille
insert, smooth cowl panel and new mirrors.
A few days before I shot this feature, I purchased a digital
camera so that this website will be better than ever when it comes to picture
quality. I'm glad I was able to feature this truck with the new camera because
the pictures can now speak for themselves.
