Luxury cars are a must have for some residents in Southern California because if you're going to sit in a lot of traffic, you might as well be comfortable. In addition to their upgraded interior comforts, luxury cars instill a sense of class for the car owner over other cars that may be thought of as ordinary. This 2000 Mercedes Benz E 320 belongs to Randy Medina from La Habra, California. It combines luxury styling, a low stance, big wheels, and an audio/video entertainment system to keep Randy comfortable in traffic and at shows. He can be found at most shows watching a movie or playing the Playstation 2 that is installed in his trunk.

 

   To make his car  unlike any other Mercedes in Orange County, Randy took it to Ramses at Winning Edge Customs in Buena Park to lay it down closer to the pavement. Ramses used Universal air bags at all four corners and custom made A-arms. The bags are filled by two 5-gallon air tanks which are being filled themselves by three ViAir compressors. The air is delivered from 1/2-inch air lines, and eight SMC valves, and four switches mounted in the center console. After the suspension work was complete, Randy contacted Zenetti wheels to get a set of 20-inch Zenetti Heir wheels. He then had them wrapped in 225/35/20 Nitto Tires and the Benz was ready to roll.

 

   The exterior of the Mercedes looks fairly close to it's original factory appearance but there is more to it than most people notice. The subtle paint color difference is difficult to notice from far away but up close, the custom mixed Red Wine color is very apparent. Ted and Eli at Auto Service Performance in La Habra sprayed Randy's car with this custom mixed color and once it is initially noticed, it cannot be overlooked. There are other additions that are subtle but still noticeable including the custom fender flares to fit the big wheels and a small spoiler above the rear window. The stock headlights were removed in favor of projector headlights with Matrix HID kit. In keeping with the dark look of the car, 5% Limo tint was applied on all of the windows.

 

   Driving around with the factory interior wouldn't seem right after completing the other work that this Mercedes has been through. So Randy dropped it off at  Roddies Upholstery in La Habra for a complete re-working of the interior and trunk. The seats are covered with black leather and Gucci inserts. The carpet and headliner were replaced with suede. The door panels, dashboard, and trunk received extra attention including custom built panels and fiberglass work. Once modified, the parts were covered in Gucci material. There are 20 LCD screens total in Randy's car including screens installed in the doors, dash ,visors, headrests, trunk, console, and headliner. The audio system is entirely made up of Swiss Audio equipment including four 6.5-inch component sets, two 5.25-inch component sets, two 1200.1 amplifiers, two 800.4 amplifiers, and four 10-inch subwoofers in the custom built center console. Powering all of this equipment is two Optima batteries and a 50-farad capacitor. As mentioned earlier, the trunk also has a Playstation 2 installed in it for "tailgating" purposes.   To clean up the engine compartment, several of the removable plastic pieces were pulled out and covered in Gucci material or painted. Everything that was metal was polished and a K&N air filter was installed.
