What do you think of when you hear about a Truck or Sport Utility Vehicle rolling on big wheels? Most people see big wheels on those types of vehicles but they are lacking any lowering kit or adjustable suspension. Bill Slavens from Fullerton, California drives this 'bagged 2002 Ford F-150 Super Crew daily. It gets him to work, to shows, and anywhere else he wants to go. He started with a set of 23-inch wheels and kept building from there to make his Super Crew a clean, show worthy ride.

To lay his truck out, Billy turned to Devious Customs in Ontario, California. A set of Brislands Customs Control Arms were installed in the front to allow the big wheels to fit right. All 4 corners received Airlift air bags for adjustability and a bolt on 6-link by KP Components was installed in the rear. In the front, the crew at Devious had to tub the firewall and find a smaller brake booster to fit and make everything work right. After a few months of driving it, the front frame was notched by CVN Motorsports in Brea, California to clear the factory tie rods. The truck tucks 23-inch Lexani VP wheels wrapped in 305/35/23 Pirelli Scorpion Tires.

After getting the truck back and driving it for a while, Billy wanted to install a few items to add to the overall clean look of the truck. A Shorty's Billet Antenna replaced the tall factory black one. B-Cool Billet Grills sent upper and lower billet grilles to Billy and they were installed at Devious Customs. The front end got a set of Ford F-150 Lightning headlamps and corner markers to add extra style to the front end. The stock lower valance was color matched by Blane Staffieri. In the bed, CVN Motorsports installed custom wheel tubs and a notch cover. Chris Eyles from Line-X of Santa Ana, California helped to finish off the bed with their spray on bed liner.

In a daily driven truck, it is important to be comfortable with the interior as well as it's appearance. Nu-Image white gauge faces and a billet rear view mirror added a little style to the inner cab. The factory leather seats also needed updating so Billy turned to Advanced Specialties to install suede inserts in them. The door panels also received suede inserts and the headliner was recovered in suede without the factory sun visors. The audio and video system was installed at Car Stereo Masters in Whittier, California and starts with an in dash 7-inch Pioneer flip up TV head unit. The rear cargo lamps were replaced with a flip-down 7-inch TV for the rear passengers. Two 10-inch Crossfire P-1 subwoofers were installed in a custom box behind that rear seat. The floor under the rear seat was used to install two Crossfire Amplifiers. The factory  speakers were also replaced using Pioneer  speakers.

Without any factory wheel wells, under this trucks hood can get messy. To make space and clean up the look, a custom air intake and billet caps for a few reservoirs were installed. Blane Staffieri color matched all the plastics to take away the plain gray look that they had. The truck also breathes easier and sounds better after a  Flowmaster exhaust was installed.

Billy would like to thank the people that helped him on the way: Flounder, Chad Nappi, Chad Lucas, Devious Customs, CVN Motorsports, Line-X, Rene at Car Stereo Masters, SEVERED TIES, his main Mexican Rigo, his hoes, his brother Bryan, B-Cool Billets, Bryan and Charity Fross, Kevin “CAPTIAN” Kuenzie, Kyle at Visual Perfections Mobile detailing and Tito for getting this whole show started.
