When most enthusiasts start the process of customization to their vehicles, they don't know where it will end up taking them. This is story of Mike "Goose" Graves from La Verne, Ca. Mike started with a 1994 Nissan Hardbody and ended up with a true head turner.

Mikes suspension is credited to California Horsepower and Performance and includes 4 wheel air bags, 3/8” manual valves, 1 compressor, and a 5 gallon tank. To allow some extra ground clearance, the frame was treated to a step notch, the leaf spring shackles were trimmed, and the gas tank was raised. 17 inch Eagle series 215 wheels were then added with 205/40/17 tires.

The body was next on his agenda and several items need to be removed. The hood emblem, hood squirters, cowl vents, antenna hole, locks, handles, gas door, and third brake light were all shaved from the body by Mr. D's Auto Body. A roll pan, 4x4 front fenders, billet grille insert, 1997 Hardbody front bumper with inserts, clear front corners, and pathfinder mirrors were also added. The bed was then capped using a Sprint shell with Blazer style windows. Mike also got a little help from his friend Jeremy Kaufman. He is responsible for the tailgate skin and walk-through that was performed. Mr. D's then sprayed the truck with Lexus Spectra Blue Mica paint. It was then sent over to Absolutely Custom Paintwerx and Steve Vandemon airbrushed the graphics.

Interior modifications were next and he left no panels untouched. Just about every part that could be removed was covered in light gray tweed by Steve Huddleston. The 1994 Honda Prelude Seats were wrapped by Gomez Upholstery. Other additions to the interior include a Colorado Customs Fire steering wheel, custom console, billet cigarette lighter, and a shift knob. The stereo system consists of a Sony CD head unit, one pair of 6-1/2” Rockford Fosgate speakers in the doors, three 12” Volfenhag subs in a custom box, and two Performance Teknique amplifiers.

With performance next on his mind, Mike decided to add a Flowmaster exhaust from Valley Muffler. The engine compartment was upgraded with parts from CNC Motorsports including a K&N intake, blue anodized oil cap and colored spark plug wires. Euro taillights and H-4 Headlights were also purchased at CNC Motorsports.
